About Me

I am very passionate about languages and communication. I speak fluent French, and from personal experience, the ability to write and talk in a foreign language is incredibly rewarding. There is nothing more satisfying than being able to communicate effectively with someone from a different country. It is also a highly-required skill in a world where for many businesses and communities, global communication has become a necessity.

Learning a foreign language is also about clearly transmitting information in written format.  This can be a challenge for foreign students studying at an English-speaking academic institution or university. As a copy-editor and proofreader I help undergraduate and post-graduate students overcome that difficulty by modifying their research papers, theses, and dissertation, enabling them to express their arguments and points with accuracy and fluency.

Credentials

My credentials include a BA (Hons) French Studies, C1 Advanced Level French Diploma (DALF), Certificate in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL), Certificate in Proofreading and Editing with the College of Media and Publishing (CMP), Certificate in Proofreading Theses and Dissertations with the Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading (CIEP).

I am very enthusiastic about my work. However, when I am not enjoying myself copy-editing academic theses and dissertations, immersing myself in French tutoring or English teaching, I like to spend time either cycling or walking in the beautiful countryside.
